Recommended Controllers
So now you have X-Plane! Wouldn't it be nice to have a way to control your plane without using the mouse? Here is some of our favorite hardware for use in unison with X-Plane.
Here are a few things to consider before you purchase controls for X-Plane.
- Make sure that the controller that you are purchasing is compatible with your operating system. For example - many Logitech Flight (Saitek) products are not compatible with the MacOS.
- Remember that X-Plane Mobile is only compatible with XBOX One/PlayStation controllers on iOS with Bluetooth capabilities.
- Double check that you have enough USB ports to support your new controls. ;-)
The Honeycomb Yoke - If you want a solid, affordable yoke to use with X-Pane, the Honeycomb Alpha Flight Control System is the best option.
The Thrustmaster T1600 Joystick - If you are just starting out with X-Plane and want an inexpensive joystick, the T1600 Joystick is a great option.
Thrustmaster Rudder Pedals - If you want the best rudder pedals on the market, the Thrustmaster TPR Pedals are a great choice.
The Brunner Yoke - If you are interested in a professional grade yoke with force feedback, the Brunner CLS-E Yoke is a solid choice.
