X-Plane 11 Situation Files

X-Plane 11 has improved situation file functionality that allows you to save your spot in various flights. By saving situation files, you can even resume a mid-air flight whenever you feel like it. 

Setting a Default Situation

To set a particular flight situation to load at start-up, first click the Load Saved Flights button.

From your list of saved flights, select the one you want to load at startup by checking the box on the right that says "Load at Start-up." 

Now any time you start X-Plane, you can head straight into that situation by simply pressing the load default situation button or you can even just tap the enter key from the startup menu. 

Key Assignments

Better yet, it is also possible to pair situations with key assignments, so you can load situations quickly whenever you want. 

From your list of saved flights, simply enter whichever key you'd like under the column labelled Shortcut Key.
