Is the earth really round?

Well....yes!

X-Plane used a flat Earth model until X-Plane version 5. That was nearly 20 years ago, though! Currently, X-Plane uses a globe that is actually too perfectly spherical! The real earth is slightly oblate. Soooo....yep. The Earth is round in X-Plane, just like real life.
